What Are We Looking At?
Each prospective employee would be assessed on critical functional competencies that are specific to the job and the level the employee enters the company. However all prospective employees are assessed on the behavioural competencies envisioned in the Standards of Leadership and for having values that are consistent with the Credo. We give equal opportunities to lady candidates for all positions.

The Process of Recruiting
Most candidates applying to J&J need to go through at least 2 detailed rounds of behavioral interviews with respective line manager, leadership team member and the human resources team. We also use psychometrics as and when required for selecting prospective candidates.

Summer Internship Program

Every year J&J recruits a number of summer interns in all divisions to work with us on live business projects in a variety of functions with J&J. Each intern works closely with his/her guide on clearly defined project deliverables, that are assessed once in the middle of the internship and once at the end. 

All project interns make presentations to the leadership team of the division they are working with. Assessments by the guide as well as the leadership team form the basis of final offers to be made to interns at the end of the internship. 

The Summer Internship program provides us an effective way of viewing the interns as prospective employees while enabling the interns to understand the J&J way of doing things and judge their fit in the company. The program begins with a day-long induction.

Management Trainee Program
Every year J&J takes a number of exceptionally successful management graduates from the top business school campuses from across the country and abroad. These trainees go through a structured immersion program which includes a detailed induction as well as cross functional and specialization stints interspersed with performance reviews that are designed to ensure that the trainee is ready for his /her first job within the company. 
We take both freshers as well as candidates with work experience.
